After studying dyeing and weaving at a fashion college, she began working part-time at a restaurant, which
led her to pastry making. 2015 saw the opening of her eponymous shop, PâTISSERIE ASAKO IWAYANAGI, in Todoroki,
Tokyo.
'Inspiration begins with you.' With this concept, she is pursuing sweets that only she can make, taking
inspiration from the people and things she encounters through her pastry making.
